Healing is being not thinking that this defines who I am. Healing is walking pass him on campus and smiling to myself because he doesn’t have any hold over me anymore. Healing is powerful.
A little more than a year ago I was raped. It was my first month at college, my first month away from my parents, my first relationship, and it took part of me. The past year has been trying to cope and overcome, and I just want to say, it can happen. It takes time, I mean I’d say it took me a full year to fully process and reclaim myself. But you are strong, your aren’t alone; and you will overcome this.
